looks like today is Day 19 not 18. What are numbers anyways?
Day 18 and Day 1
Today is Day 18 of Lent(and no makeup) and the first day of school of spring quarter. Ok, so it’s not exactly like the first day of fifth grade or anything but it comes with it’s stresses and excitement in a way. For instance, first impressions. New classes means new people, and this morning I did not feel like making any effort to impress anyone. I woke up at 7:26 am for an 8:00...
Freak of Nature
Ok seriously,
Today should have started out good, and maybe I’ll find out soon that it did but in immediate hindsight it is hard to see how. It was a normal Sunday back in SLO; I got up at 8, showered, and actually had time to dry and straighten my hair:) Of course this may have been where everything took a turn for the worse. I had just enough time to grab a peanut butter granola bar...
I...
SINCERELY apologize for misspelling *write*
It will NEVER happen again!
The News...Always Uplifting

The latest news is that Perfluorocarbons (man-made chemical) might cause earlly menopause. PFCs are in some cosmetics. There’s a link to the article above.
I’m feeling much better about not wearing makeup.
Haha Sarah, you thought I was actually going to right something. I’m just going to keep typing...
Fence-post white, bleached by the summer sun
Though once baby blue, always blue
Oh that’s you
Look in the mirror
Maybe your reflection can see it clearer
Those memories that haunt you
Behind you, they stalk you
Turn around
Turn around, now
Like dust, your world crumbles to the ground
A wind blows you away
Back to the four corners of the earth from which you came
Teach my stubborn...
Lesson 2:
k. I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
Lesson #2: Be the ‘Other Guy.’
Yes, that’s right, the guy who operates behind the scenes, and does what’s right without expecting or getting any recognition. Mark and Will (well, the characters they played in the movie at least) continued to solve that case and expose corruption despite continued warnings from multiple...
The Other Guys
I just spent two hours of my life watching Mark Wahlburg and Will Ferrel(too lazy to check the spelling, no disrespect guys) make complete fools of themselves while making me laugh. My favorite line has to be
“I’m a peacock. You gotta let me fly!” -Wahlberg
Some people may call that a waste of time, and perhaps it isn’t exactly a productive use of time, but I’m on...
Day 12
UNFORTUNATELY, thousands of lives have been shaken and taken by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake, livelihoods destroyed, people hungry, fighting for freedom and their lives in Egypt and Haiti and not to mention those in New Zealand still recovering from the recent earthquake that disrupted their lives.
FORTUNATELY, Wisdom, the 60-yr old albotross and oldest seabird in the US, maybe survived...

Aaaah maaan…
I thought the Tumblr monsters, in their frenzied feast this morning, had gobbled up that last post, but alas it survived and is there for the world to see how I felt this morning when I woke up. However, I have done a total 180 and I sincerely feel now that there is more to me than physical appearance. (I will now go and repeat that to myself 100 times: ‘There is more to...
Day 9
I look hideous…find me a paper bag.
Baby steps
Something amazing happened yesterday. Had been cooped up inside for 5 hours studying for finals and was about to tear my hair out literally! So me and my roomie took a walk downtown to get some some tea. TWICE, yes two different times(one a jogger and the other a man dressed in native American garb walking his dogs) passerbys acknowledged us with a friendly, “Hello ladies.” Isn’t...
Day7a
Please forgive me for not keeping up on the blog (Like it was such a major dissapointment, “Major Dissapointment!”, to everyone). Technichally this is day seven, but let’s pretend I wrote this yesterday, day six, and a ‘b’ installment will come later.
Not wearing makeup is surprisingly liberating! When I’m wearing makeup I feel as if I have to impress everyone....
Lent: Day 5
Day 5 already, and this is my first post…my first post ever on “The Blog.” For those of you reading this you may be wondering ‘Day 5 of what?’ well let me enlighten you. I have agreed to partake in a makeup fast with two of my roommates for the Lenten Season(40 days). That’s right, NO makeup until Easter. Goodbye bags-under-the-eyes and ruddy cheeks color...
